New Authority Lists

New trucking authority list, NYC building permits list and NYC code violations list, cleaned weekly

A new authority list is a weekly CSV of new FMCSA operating authority grants, one row per docket, for carriers, brokers and freight forwarders. New Authority Lists also sells weekly CSVs of new NYC building permits and NYC code violations. Files are cleaned and deduped from public records. A weekly file covers the previous Monday to Sunday.

New Authority Lists takes three public data feeds, cleans and dedupes them and packs each into a weekly CSV. You see which companies were newly granted motor carrier operating authority (carriers, brokers and freight forwarders) and where New York City permits and violations are being issued, without digging through the portals.

Counts are from real sample pulls made on 2026-10-09 (US Eastern). A weekly file covers 7 days, so it is smaller than the 30-day sample.

What you pay for

The records are public and free at the source. If you are happy to pull and clean them yourself, you do not need us. We add this work, every week:

  • Cleaning: one tidy table per source, ISO dates, plain column names, joins between source tables.
  • Dedupe: one row per docket, permit or violation.
  • Personal data left out: We remove person fields, and free text is dropped, not shipped. The checks are automatic and can miss things. If you find a name or a private detail in a file, report an error and we will remove it. Phone numbers, emails, owner and respondent names are not in the files. Description text is replaced by topic labels. A company name is kept only if it passes a business-name test, so some real companies are blank on purpose. A property address can still be a private home.
  • Address joins: for code violations, a street address is added from the permits table where one matches.
  • Weekly packaging: a dated file with the source stamped on every row.

Who it is for

Trucking industry vendors

Insurance agents, freight factoring firms, compliance and filing services, and others who sell to new motor carriers, brokers and freight forwarders.

New York City trades and vendors

Roofers, electricians, plumbers, suppliers and expediters who want to see new permits and code violations by address and borough.

How it works

  1. Read the free preview. Every file has a real 10-row sample and a full field list.
  2. Pick a tier. One weekly file, or a monthly subscription with a new file each week.
  3. Get a CSV. It opens in any spreadsheet. Each row carries a source and the pull time.

What it is not

  • It is not the official record. Check the source before you rely on a row.
  • It has no phone number or email address columns.
  • It does not promise sales or results.
  • It is not affiliated with any government agency. See data sources and terms.
